ВідповістиВидалитиI'm writing to express my opinion about the article I have read in the local newspaper. The article says that cars are going to be sponsored for all residents.
From my point of view,It is a great idea. At present the air pollution in the centre is so high,it is hard to breathe. In addition, the traffic jams became our everyday routine, so banning cars from the downtown will make getting around much faser.
Besides,free public transportation will definitely be supported by the citizens, I thing so.
I hope that this new proposed ban will be supported by majority and we will breathe fresh air very soon. It's time for us to think about our health ,our new generationsbut not only our ambitions and luxury.
I look forward to having this new law in action.

Firstly,using bicycle makes people healthier and more active.And people have more opportunities to save money on fuel.
Secondly,a lot of people have opportunity to spend more time with family cycling around the city.
All in all,creating of special bicycle lanes is the best way to reduce the smog and other air pollution.Moreover,it will make us less dependent on toxic fossil fuels which harm the environment.Taking everything into account,I am in favour of banning cars in downtown areas.I think,creating of taking such measures makes our environment cleaner and better.

What is more, it is cheaper to transport in the city by free-city wide public transportation. Drivers can save their time and money on buying the gasoline. On the other hand, we can observe that many people have phobias connected with public transport. It is easier to them to transport in the city by their own car. For this reason, i can understand those residents who are against a total ban on cars in downtown area. I think, that great alternative to a car is the bicycle and it is great, that it will be created special bicycle lines. Taking everything into consideration, I am in favour of a ban on cars in downtown area. To start with, I want to say that I agree with the local Department of Environmental Safety and I consider that cars must be changed to bicycle. Bicycle will not disturb people and will develop their health. Bicycle must encourage people to go in for sports. Also bicycle do not pollute the air as cars. For this reason, special bicycle lanes must be created. Moreover, using bicycle will make us less dependent on toxic fossil fuels which harm the environment.
Taking everything into account, I am in favour of a ban on cars in downtown area. I think there are better way of getting around in the city center, for instance by bicycle.

Our town is a small one, so the pollution caused by cars is harmful for all people who live in different parts of this area.
To start with, I want to say that almost every family uses the car in everyday life. So if at least a number of us try to be a little bit more environmentally-friendly, we will soon see the results. I like the idea of the local Department of Environmental Safety a lot. Bicycles are not only safe for the nature. It’s also a great activity for our health. We will be able to reduce the amount of toxins, gazes, fuels and other dangerous substances in the air and improve our physical condition at the same time.
On the other hand, we must not overlook the fact that driving a car saves a lot of time. It helps people to do many activities during the day, because they don’t have to spend much time on moving from one place to another. For this reason, I can understand those ones who are not in favour with the idea of banning cars in the downtown area.
But taking everything into consideration, I agree with the idea of local Department of Environmental Safety. I think that people can overcome their laziness and stop using cars every day. That will be incredibly good decision not only for environment, but also for our health.

ВідповістиВидалитиI am a concerned resident and I am writing in response to the article in your newspaper about banning cars from the downtown area I live downtown area and I know a lot about traffic here.
Firstly, I think that limited amount of cars protected bicycle lanes make travelling on foot much safer. Cyclists are also less likely to get in accidents with pedestrians or cars because they have a special place on the road to ride. So, these lanes will reduce the risk of accidents.
Secondly, we can spend more time with our families and friends outdoors. We can spend our weekends with fun and pleasure.
All in all, cars make the environment polluted and I can conclude that they should be banned in the city centre which is too crowded. People believe that by reducing the number of cars in the streets government can save a huge amount of petrol. Banning cars is the best way to reduce the smog and other air and noise pollution.
Taking everything into account, I am in favour of a ban on cars in downtown area. I think, that riding a bike is better way to spend time to enjoy our free time.

To start with, I want to say that I understand that cars are polluting our air and hurting the environment. But local resources do not really understand that because we do not face this problem so globally as people in big cities do. That is why I think your idea would not be easy to translate into deeds. Personally I do not see the need in cars in the downtown area. Everyone can walk to the city center because our town is small and people will not have any difficulties. Walks are good for health. And there still are bicycles and public transport. In our town it is not a big problem. Many people could probably support this idea.
On the other hand there are some people who have their own business in the downtown area. I do not think that such situation will be comfortable for them. For example, they will face the problems with goods delivery. And it is definitely more comfortable to drive to work on your own car. I also do not understand what people who live in the city center and own a car are supposed to do. How are they going to use it for example when they want to drive to another city? And if be real I think that nobody who already owns or plans to own the car will support the idea of banning on them. And I think that public transport and bicycles are not very practical. For example in winter you definitely can not ride a bicycle because it is dangerous. And in summer it is mostly too hot to ride a bicycle or even public transport. People will get to school or work all sweaty and tired. I know that I told that I do not see the need in cars in the downtown area. But it is only because I can walk to town center without any problems almost any time. Because I am not sick or something like that. But for example if I got caught I would not be very happy to walk to school on foot. You can say that in that case the bus is always at my service. But mostly buses are going early and I am getting ready not very quickly because I like sleeping. And there are a lot of people who have much more important problems than me. Some of them have health problems like heart diseases or pain in back or something else.
To sum up, I want to say that I don’t think that banning on cars in downtown area is a good idea. I think that we should improve the cars with the help of technical progress. And make them less dangerous for environment. Actually there are some environmentally friendly cars but they are not very popular yet. But a lot of countries have projects which will help them to stop using cars that hurt environment at all. I think that it is the right decision.

People care only about their own comfort and they can not realize that their happiness will not last forever because of the pollution.
To start with, I want to say that pollution and noise which are caused by cars are not only awful but also dangerous. I do not know how people are not choking when they smell all the fumes that are in the air near the cars. I think that people can use only public transport or bicycles and skateboards to get to the city center. Or they can just have a walk. I think it’s not a problem. And it will make our health better. Because sport, walking and just staying outside are definitely better than lazy sitting in the car. By the way, in public transport you can also find some new friends. So it is helping not only the environment but also our communication skills. There is one more very important reason why cars in downtown area have to be banned. It will make our streets and city center much safer. We do not usually have many accidents in our town but sometimes they happen. There are many children in the downtown who are walking or playing without their parents. So I think it is wise decision.
On the other hand, cars can help us in many situations. They are very comfortable and we all really like using them. And banning cars in the downtown can cause some problems.
But taking everything into consideration, I definitely support your idea. I am really happy that I am not the only one who cares about our environment.

To start with, I want to say that I agree with local Department of Environment Safety plan. Downtown are surrounded by main roads and smog from them could be dangerous for people who work and study there. Free city-wide public transport will allow residents to save a lot of money and stay health at the same time. Also we will avoid traffic noise and make streets more spacious, as many drivers park their cars along all roads.
However, we must understand that in our town we also have a lot of gas station and car wash, which are workplace of many people. So just imagine what happen with them if suddenly all cars will be bun. For this reason, I can understand why some persons do not support this idea.
In conclusion, I am a big fan of car ban. I believe that free public transportation system will bring a new life for our city and will make local residents healthier.
